Michael Wolfe
Licensed Professional Counseling Associate
Michael has lived in various states but has been a resident of the Bluegrass since 1995. He has been married to his wife, Sara, for 25 years. Together, he and Sara have three boys ranging from pre-teen to adulthood. Michael has all the qualities that make it easy for men from all stages to connect with him – he has a great sense of humor, enjoys playing disc golf in his free time, is a UFC fan, and is actively involved in the wrestling community as two of his boys participate.
In his own life, Michael suffered from depression and faced the pain that came from “father wounds”. Because of these trials, he deeply sympathizes with those who have experienced the absence of a father and have endured seasons of depression. He is no stranger to communicating with boys and walking alongside them as they become men.
While he is passionate about counseling boys and men and helping with parenting skills (especially regarding fatherlessness) his skills are not limited to these. He also has experience working with couples for marital and premarital counseling. His preferred modalities are CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), other existential modalities (person-centered), and Christian counseling at the request of the client.
